バンクーバー朝日は、バンクーバーにあった日系カナダ人の野球チームです。
バンクーバーで最も有力なアマチュア・チームの一つであった。1941年に日本と連合国軍の間で戦争が勃発まで、パウエル通りグラウンド（正式にはオッペンハイマー公園）を拠点に活動していました。
バンクーバー仏教会の青木牧師は、2022年夏のパウエル祭で日系コミュニテイ旧朝日軍の選手たちに敬意を表し、追悼慰霊式を執り行います。記念式典には、どなたでも参加できます。
The Vancouver Asahi was a Japanese Canadian baseball club in Vancouver.
They were one of the most dominant amateur teams in the city. The team played out of the Powell Street Grounds (officially Oppenheimer Park) until the war broke out between Japan and the Allied Forces in 1941.
Reverend Aoki of Vancouver Buddhist Church conducts a memorial service to pay tribute to those Asahi players at the Powell Street Festival. Everybody will be welcome to join the commemoration at the memorial service.
