We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued understanding and cooperation in our organization's activities. This year (2025), Vancouver and Yokohama will celebrate the 60th anniversary of their sister city relationship.
The Yokohama City International Affairs Bureau has requested our participation in an online exchange program, which will be held as part of a commemorative project. Our organization is now seeking one speaker from among our members. This program will involve high school students from Yokohama and UBC students from Vancouver, and will focus on exchanges about urban development, culture, and environmental initiatives in both cities.
Our speakers will be responsible for the following roles:
Roles of the speakers:1. Introduce the city and culture of Vancouver in Japanese and explain the differences between it and Japan.
2. To introduce Vancouver's environmental and green initiatives.
Event Overview:● Date and Time: Saturday, December 6, 2025, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Japan Time
(Vancouver time: Friday, December 5, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
● Presentation time: Approximately 15 minutes ● Target audience: High school students in Yokohama City (30-100 students expected) + UBC students
Regarding recruitment:● Number of openings: 1 ● Application deadline: Monday, September 29, 2025
● Selection method: Interviews will be conducted with applicants by Saturday, October 4th.
We will make the decision.
Regarding payment:● Speakers will receive a small honorarium from the City of Yokohama.
(Payment will be made through our organization.)

Accordingly, we are pleased to announce that we are recruiting one speaker from among our members.
This program will bring together high school students from Yokohama and students from UBC in Vancouver, with exchanges focusing on the cities' cultures and initiatives in environmental sustainability. The Chamber's representative speaker will be asked to undertake the following roles:
Speaker's Role
Introduce, in Japanese, the city and culture of Vancouver, including differences with Japan.
Present Vancouver's initiatives in the environmental and green sectors.

Selection Process: Applicants will be interviewed by October 4 (Saturday), after which the final speaker will be decided.
