[60 sister cities]Anniversary Celebration: Yokohama & Vancouver Online exchange program

Yokohama City and Vancouver City, Canada, in 202560 sister city partnerships in a yearWe are celebrating our anniversary.
To commemorate this, the Yokohama City International Affairs Bureau will host an online exchange event connecting high school students who will lead the next generation with students and local organizations in Vancouver. The Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce will also provide speakers from its members as part of its cooperation for the exchange event.

This program aims to foster an international perspective and provide opportunities to develop an interest in different cultures and common urban challenges.
On the day of the event, approximately 30 to 100 high school students will participate online from Kanazawa Zoo in Yokohama City, which houses a totem pole donated from Vancouver, and will engage in discussions with students from the Japan-Canada Exchange Circle at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada, as well as representatives from the Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce.

Please note that participation in this online exchange is by the Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce (JCCOC).Anyone who is a member of () can participate as an observer.(Please apply using the QR code on the flyer.)

■ Background and Objectives

Since establishing a sister city relationship in 1965, Yokohama and Vancouver have deepened their cooperative relationship in various fields, including economy, culture, and environment.
This exchange aims to promote international understanding and sustainable inter-city cooperation among the next generation, with the goal of nurturing future global talent.

Furthermore, in the future "GREEN×EXPO 2027"」 We also envision developing related next-generation exchange programs.
