This time, we're featuring an interview with Canada Journal, a company that provides services for studying abroad in Canada. Founded in Vancouver, Canada in 1981, the company operates under the motto "Promoting a Borderless Life," aiming to introduce North American culture and industry to Japan and foster cross-border exchange. Since then, they have introduced numerous projects from the Canadian government, public corporations, industry associations, and companies to Japan. Beyond this, they also contribute to the development of a truly borderless economy through services such as immigration services for talented individuals from Brazil and Spanish-language website support.
1) What types of services do you provide?
As a study abroad agency specializing in Canada, we provide comprehensive support for anyone wishing to travel to Canada.
We assist individuals wishing to travel abroad in creating long-term plans to achieve their individual goals. Our services include pre-departure counseling, school and accommodation arrangements, visa guidance, internship and volunteer support, and post-arrival support.
2) Who is this program intended for?
Currently, our target market is Japan, Brazil, and Latin American countries, and we provide support regardless of the purpose of travel, desired length of stay, or age.
Our services range from short-term study abroad programs of one week to college and university studies, long-term planning aimed at immigration, and accommodation options for elementary school students to seniors, as well as parent-child and family trips. We welcome anyone considering traveling to Canada to talk to us.
3) Where is your company located? (Please also provide information if you have any branches.)
Located in Vancouver, Canada only. It boasts excellent access, situated at the corner of Seymour Street and West Hastings Street, just a 3-minute walk from Waterfront Station and a 4-minute walk from Granville Station.
4) Please tell us about your company's unique strengths.
From an external perspective, we are particularly strong in introducing web-related programs within the study abroad industry. Based on our staff's extensive knowledge, we can provide specific guidance on the differences between programs at various schools, what you will learn, and what you will be able to do upon graduation.
In terms of company culture, our selling point is our friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Employees actively exchange ideas, and naturally, any opinion deemed positive is immediately adopted, regardless of who it comes from. Many of our staff members are very attentive to new ideas and perspectives.
5) What initiatives are you undertaking to "connect Japan and Canada"?
For those in Japan who wish to gain overseas experience, we share the allure of Canada and provide counseling and various arrangements to ensure a fulfilling experience in Canada. Furthermore, we hope to assist those considering traveling from Canada to Japan in the future.
