News

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce (JCCOC) held its first event of 2026 as part of its sister city support program, one of its key initiatives!

Seven members of the NPO Hinomisaki American Village's "Storyteller Junior" group, who traveled from Wakayama Prefecture to Vancouver, gave a presentation entirely in English about the history of Japanese immigrants in Canada and the journeys of their predecessors. This initiative, which transcends generations and national borders to learn about and share history, is an important exchange that will contribute to the future of both Japan and Canada.
