On December 12, 2011, the annual Christmas party of the Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce was held at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club.
Approximately 55 participants, including members of our association, their families, and friends, enjoyed a delightful evening. When special guests Yuko Arimori and Koichi Shizawa, who had just arrived in Vancouver for a special lecture supporting the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, and Manabu Ogawa, who had traveled from Vancouver to provide support to the disaster-stricken areas, were introduced, the audience erupted in enthusiastic applause. There was also a mini-concert performance by harpist Miya Otake.
