On June 6th, a special luncheon lecture hosted by the Japan-Canada Association, the Roundtable Discussion Group, and the Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce and Industry, featuring the new Ambassador to Japan, Mackenzie Cragston, was a great success, thanks to the cooperation of our members, as well as other Japanese-Canadian organizations (Kiyukai, Mokuyokai, Kenyukai, Cosmos Seminar, Tonarigumi, Oufukai), and the participation of Tomoe Arts and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
I heard a lecture that the relationship between BC and Japan is improving, with increased energy-related investments from Japan, the entry of gaming and IT companies, and growth in travel and education-related businesses, all of which are contributing to positive changes in business and employment relations in BC.
