The Vancouver Asahi was a baseball team of Japanese Canadians that was based in Vancouver.
It was one of Vancouver's most prominent amateur teams. It was based at Powell Street Ground (officially Oppenheimer Park) until the outbreak of war between Japan and the Allied forces in 1941.
Reverend Aoki of the Vancouver Buddhist Church will hold a memorial service at the Powell Festival in the summer of 2022 to honor the former Asahi baseball players of the Japanese American community. Everyone is welcome to attend the memorial service.
