BC Sports Hall of Fame, pre-war "Vancouver Asahi" family information sharing activities.

Request for information

The Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce has long supported the Vancouver Asahi, a local baseball team in Vancouver, Canada. We are pleased to announce that we have now made an announcement regarding four players who were active in the team before the war (early 1900s).The induction medal from the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame has yet to be delivered to the family.Upon discovering this, our Chamber of Commerce decided to cooperate in gathering information.

This activity is carried out by a resident of Tokyo. Mr. Yobun ShimaHowever, this volunteer activity has been continued since it began when he accepted the award on behalf of his uncle, Shoichi Shima, who is also a Hall of Fame inductee. As the documents are over 100 years old, information is limited, and even the smallest clue from you can be a great lead. We would be grateful for your kind cooperation.
